Vegetable chop is an immensely popular Bengali snack recipe which is sold in almost every corner of Bengal, starting from street food vendors to popular restaurants. It is a no onion no garlic recipe and is hence one of the highly demanding snack recipes during puja days. Vegetable chop recipe is the amalgamation of grated beetroot, carrots, boiled mashed potatoes, homemade bhaja masala along with few spices and herbs. It is shaped in small cylindrical size and coated with corn flour mixture and breadcrumbs and then deep fried till crispy. It is always served hot as a snack with onion-cucumber salad and the Bengali dip kasundi or tomato ketchup.
